Documentary wedding photography captures the personalities and spontaneous moments of your wedding. It's unintrusive, it's candid, it's fun. It's uniquely yours.

It begins with early venue preparations, make-up, and getting ready. It captures moments of joy and family leading up to all the firsts: the first look, the first kiss, the first dance. After the ceremony and reception, I capture the final memories, ending with a send-off, sprinkled with giggles, laughter, and those one-of-a-kind moments you never want to forget. Best of all, you can spend the entire day with your family and friends, instead of striking awkward poses and waiting for the next group formals.

As a documentary photographer for more than 20 years, I know how and when to blend into the background. No matter the size of your venue, I blend in as another guest. I tell a visual story filled with joy and the emotions of your day.

The best way to choose a photographer for your wedding begins with a conversation. We can chat in person or online. My typical wedding includes 300 - 400 edited and retouched photographs in color and a matching set of images in classic black and white. Informal group photos of the wedding party and immediate family are included.

Formal portraits and or larger groups can be arranged easily (I use a second photographer so that I can capture candid moments.) Your day's schedule is my schedule, not the other way around. We talk and I build my day around what matters most to you, rather than you making your day around a photo shoot.
