At age 53, Fritz Nordengren walked 620 miles in 40 days.
Beginning at the base of the Pyrenees Mountains in France, he followed the centuries-old footsteps of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago-the Way of Saint James. After reaching the Cathedral in Santiago, he continued on to the "end of the world," Finisterre and Muxía, before returning to Santiago on day forty.
What began as a solo retreat became a faith journey, as he met strangers who offered help and fellow pilgrims who became companions along the way. In the quiet rhythm of walking, the important spiritual voices grew louder. He shares the faith he found, the friendships he formed, and the food they enjoyed together.
This Tenth Anniversary Edition includes all forty original letters written to his children, along with a new Forty-First Letter, written ten years later-"I'm Still Walking," -a reflection on what endures, what changes, and how the Camino continues long after the road itself ends.
